Isle à Quatre is a beautiful uninhabited island of about 376 acres located just one and half miles south of Bequia and five miles west of Mustique, in St. Vincent & the Grenadines (SVG). SVG is an independent sovereign state within the Commonwealth gaining its independence from Great Britain in October 1979. It is a full parliamentary democracy with a Prime Minister, and a Governor General, representing Queen Elizabeth who is the titular head of state.
The geographical location of Isle a Quatre at 12. 5 degrees North Latitude means dependable sunshine daily all year round providing an opportunity to create independently a totally green environment for solar electricity generation and great footprint on virgin territory.
Compared with Caribbean islands to the north, this latitude means that the island is relatively out of the hurricane belt. New technology at this time can create an atmosphere with a totally unique image.
Concessions granted under the Isle a Quatre Act permits the new investor to establish his own Planning authority as in Mustique.
The island has been in the Mitchell family since 1907 used originally to provide cedar frames to build island sloops and schooners. Fishing around the island was the main activity.
English common law is the foundation of SVG law and its legal system. The court of final appeal is HM’s Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in London.
